Getting Started

The LILIN Project Calculator helps you plan a surveillance system by calculating bandwidth requirements and storage needs.

Step 1: Device Bandwidth

Select the type of recorder (NVR, NAV, or DHD) and add cameras to calculate total bandwidth.

Bitrate Types:

• Fixed: For fixed bitrate cameras (default for most models)
• Non-fixed: For variable bitrate cameras that adjust based on scene complexity

Step 2: Storage Calculation

Enter the number of recording days and hours per day to calculate required storage.

Or use the Duration mode to calculate how many days you can record with a specific storage size.

Step 3: RAID Configuration

Select an NVR/NAV model and configure RAID settings. The calculator accounts for:

• RAID overhead (parity drives)
• NTFS formatting loss (~9%)
• Reserved space for system operation

Step 4: Save Results

Download a screenshot of your configuration for reference or sharing.
