Our Story
LILIN did not begin with a finished blueprint. Its product and system capabilities were built over time by responding to changes in the market and the realities of each site.
1980
New Taipei City, Taiwan
Founded by three people
LILIN was founded in Taiwan in 1980 by a team of three, beginning with the manufacture of monitor brackets and related equipment. The founder wrote “We create, we innovate” in a notebook. It was not intended as a slogan, but as a practical method for responding to technological and market change.
When a customer cancelled an order, the experience exposed the limits of supplying a single component. LILIN began expanding into cameras, recording equipment and system integration, gradually establishing a complete video product portfolio. That decision set the direction for the company that followed.
Continuous Development
As video moved from analogue to network systems, LILIN invested in network cameras, recording and open integration technologies, releasing the world’s first ONVIF conformant network video products. The company continued with Smart H.265, HTML5 streaming and cross platform applications so that products could work reliably across different systems and environments.
With the arrival of AI, LILIN established an internal development team covering model training, edge computing, camera integration and management platforms. Across transport, buildings, retail, education and industrial sites, the value of technology is measured not only by detection results, but by whether it creates a reliable, maintainable and expandable system.
Rooted in Taiwan
LILIN keeps key research, product design, manufacturing and quality management in Taiwan. Market requirements, engineering decisions and production validation remain closely connected. This integrated capability enables the company to support not only individual devices, but also system compatibility, stability and long term operation.

LILIN maintains internal processes through quality and environmental management systems. Products obtain or meet relevant safety, electromagnetic compatibility and environmental requirements according to model, application and market. Applicable requirements are identified in individual product documents.

2024
The S8R5722MX25 IMU shockproof AI license plate recognition IP camera received the Taiwan Excellence Award. It combines 4K imaging, AI plate recognition, optical zoom and IMU stabilisation to maintain image quality in moving and vibrating environments while connecting directly to back end applications.
2014
The UFG1122, capable of recording 1080p video at 120 frames per second, was selected as a Secutech Excellence Award winning IP camera.
2013
LILIN was recognised among the Top Ten Enterprises of the Year and Top Ten Products of the Year for its business development, research capabilities and product innovation.
