NDAA / TAA Compliant Products
LILIN cameras and recorders are designed and manufactured in Taiwan, without components or critical technology from the manufacturers named in Section 889, and meet NDAA and TAA procurement requirements.
Procurement restrictions for U.S. government projects derive from two statutes: NDAA Section 889 governs the components inside the equipment, and the TAA governs where the product is manufactured. LILIN meets the requirements of both.
NDAA §889
The John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 was signed into U.S. law on August 13, 2018. The Act places video surveillance equipment under the definition of covered telecommunications equipment and names specific Chinese manufacturers whose cameras and components are prohibited in U.S. government-related deployments. Equipment containing any covered component is ineligible for government procurement.
TAA 1979
The Trade Agreements Act of 1979 governs procurement origin: end products purchased under federal contracts must be manufactured in the United States or in a designated country. Taiwan is a designated country, and LILIN products are designed and assembled in Taiwan from circuit design through final assembly.
